Zafar Hasan is a lawyer and attorney practicing family, elder, custody, estate planning, trust and and other family law in the Central Virginia area. As a solo practice lawyer, his practice provides a broad range of services to his clients, from adoptions and wills to divorce and custody issues. He also works on employment matters such as workers compensation, single plaintiff discrimination cases and real estate and trust matters.
Zafar Hasan graduated with a degree in religion with honors from the University of Richmond. He considered a career in academia, particularly in the area of religion and political science and even applied to the top-rated political science programs at Harvard University and Princeton University. However, in his senior year of college, he decided that his true passion was in law, which is also a family tradition followed by many members of his family.
Zafar Hasan earned his law degree from the University of Virginia, where he graduated with honors.
Zafar Hasan and his wife of over 25 years are the proud parents of two adult daughters. One of his daughters is finishing medical school next year, focused in primary care and his other daughter is considering a career in patent law. Outside of the law, he and his wife enjoy volunteering with numerous organizations such as the United Way.
