As the leader of Portland, Oregon’s Victory Outreach Church of Portland, Pastor Max Garza handles all aspects of the local ministry, including delivering sermons, providing religious instruction, and counseling congregation members. He also oversees daily operations at three Christian recovery homes that help people start reintegrating into the community after dealing with addictions and two nonprofit agencies that assist young Latinos and their families. Pastor Max Garza’s professional interests include personalized leadership coaching and hosting various leadership training sessions.

Outside of the church environment, Mr. Garza enjoys the simple things in life, such as sharing a cup of coffee with his wife and taking an early morning walk. He is also an avid automotive enthusiast who likes to perform mechanical work on cars and ride motorcycles. Mr. Garza constantly expands his religious knowledge through his devoted study of the Bible and other devotional books. The developer of a drama entitled Bound by Colors, he reached young people throughout the Pacific Northwest with a powerful message about gang membership and the prevention of drug abuse.
